Grown up star kids, new born star kids or baby bumps – these are the only three topics that are trending these days. But let’s take some time and appreciate our celebs for adopting someone and giving them a better life to lead.

  1. Sushmita Sen adopted Renee and Alisah
    The former Miss Universe was only 25 when she decided to be a single mom and adopted a girl – Renee. And ten years later, she decided to add a new member to her family by adopting the second girl – Alisah. She is a perfect woman and a single mother of her two princesses.
  2. Tushar Kapoor became a father by IVF and Surrogacy
    The 40-year actor became a father of a baby boy through In Vitro Fertilisation(IVF) and surrogacy. Here’s what he said on becoming a proud father:
    “I proudly announce the arrival of my son, a baby boy, born last week through IVF and surrogacy. The baby, Laksshya, is in excellent health. I am thrilled to be a father! The paternal instincts in me have been overpowering my heart and mind for some time now. Therefore, I am thrilled beyond words to have Laksshya, now the greatest source of joy in my life. By the greatness of God and the excellent medical team at Jaslok, parenthood is an option for many, who choose to be single parents.”
  3. Salim Khan adopted Arpita
    Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan adopted Arpita and there are many stories about her adoption. It is believed that Arpita’s mother died after giving birth to her in Mumbai and that’s when Salim and Salma Khan broughther home. Other reports say that when Arpita was crying on a footpath,it was Helen who got her home.
  4. Rahul Bose adopted Pratima, Rukhsar, Matrena, Bindu, Jinu and Animesh
    Rahul Bose is not just an actor but a director, screenwriter, social activist, and rugby player. He has adopted six kids (Pratima, Rukhsar, Matrena, Bindu, Jinu and Animesh) from an institution. He plans to have more of kids adopted in the near future.
  5. Kunal Kohli adopted a baby girl – Radha
    The Indian film director, producer, writer and chef is also a father of an adopted daughter – Radha. He says “We were planning on adopting for a while now. Finally, it’s happened. Raveena has taken a maternity break from work. The whole family is excited, my parents, friends… everyone. My daughter has brought about a family reunion. My sister specially flew down from the US to help us settle in. Raveena’s brother too has come down to be with us. It feels so good,”
