At some point, these famous celebs also had to face the harshness and they dealt with it with patience.

Priyanka Chopra too has been the victim of racism somewhere in her life. In an interview recently, she accepted that while studying in an American school, she was referred as ‘Brownie’ by her friends, which really got her and made her quit school and return to India.
- Sonam Kapoor
This bollywood fashion diva is another unexpected one on the list, but this is exactly what she mentioned on an occasion, “They see brown pores and skin and they decide you already. When I cross overseas, people already have their belief, like we are always in Parda or our parents are very conservative.”
- Shahrukh Khan
Shahrukh being the King of bollywood but outside the glam and glitz, he’s just another Khan getting into security issues at the airport terminals. It has happened so often that it is more of a joke to him now. He quoted on twitter while he was detained at an airport in the US, “Whenever I start feeling excessively self-important about myself, I take a trip to America. The migration folks kick the star out of stardom.
- Nawazuddin Siddiqui
During the early days of bollywood, Nawazuddin was offered smaller roles in films and got rejected by makers and directors for many TV shows because according to them he did not fit into those glossy roles because of his dark complexion and short height. Now he has proved his own position in bollywood with a National Award.

One of the hottest bollywood divas, Bipasha Basu was allegedly called ‘Kali Billi’ by Kareena Kapoor once, due to her dusky complexion. Not only that but she was called “Lady Goonda” in her school days because of her complexion and height.

During an interview with Femina, Ranveer Singh said that he faced some bitter experiences too including Racism. He quoted, “I have had some tough life experiences. It’s not all been rosy. I have been through prolonged intense and immense emotional turbulence, financial difficulties. I have been ridiculed, faced racism and humiliation.”

Shilpa Shetty also had to face racism on the big TV reality show, Big Brother in 2007. She was mocked for her Indian accent and was referred to as “The Indian” & “Dog” which ultimately led to huge controversies.
