Everything You Need To Know About Game Of Thrones Season 7. . .

If you don’t know about Game of Thrones, then you are probably living under a rock. It is one of the biggest television shows of the current decade and is followed by millions of people the world over. If you are excited for the next season, then you have certainly come to the right place. We have got some spicy news from Westeros that no GOT fan can resist. Here’s what we know about its latest season so far.

  1. They have accidently updated the release date

I don’t know much about the show-runners, but they have definitely done some debacles in the past (yes, I’m talking about leaking 4 episodes of the last season out of the blue). Well, they have “accidently” updated the IMDB page of Game of Thrones, mentioning the release date of Season 7 Episode 1 as June 25, 2017. Though there has been no official announcement, but I can clearly sense that winter would be coming a little late this year.
  2. It will be a shorter season

SourceWe all know that in season 6, the show out scripted the books. This will certainly slow down the pace for the next season. It is expected to have a total of 7 episodes. It has been decided that the remaining story would be narrated in 13 episodes – 7 episodes of Season 7 and 6 episodes of Season 8 (next year).
  3. No Lady Stoneheart so far!

SourceThere has been a major difference between the book and the television series. While in the books, Catelyn Stark was resurrected from the dead to become Lady Stoneheart, there are currently no plans for the story arc to be implemented by the HBO show-runners.
  4. There could be a prequel

SourceAfter filming Season 8 and putting an end to the current storyline, there could be a prequel to the Song of Ice and Fire universe. This would majorly involve the initial rise of the Targaryen Empire.
  5. There will be a major Greyjoy-drama

SourceSeason 7 is expected to feature a battle between Euron and Yara Greyjoy. Fans are already speculating a sea battle between both the armies that is expected to happen in the first half of the season.
  6. The entire season could have already been leaked

SourceWhen it comes to Game of Thrones, leaking of episodes online is nothing new. Recently, a Reddit user has provided an in-depth breakdown of season 7. Fans are already considering this leak quite legit.
  7. The return of Gendry

SourceAccording to certain sources, Joe Dempsie (the actor who plays Enter Gendry) was seen around the Game of Thrones filming location. Though we can’t come up with his storyline as of now, it is expected that the character will return briefly for a few episodes this season.
  8. A much-anticipated face-off

SourceThis is one storyline that never lost its spark since the first season. We all know the sibling rivalry that exists between Sandor Clegane (The Hound) and his brother Gregor Clegane (The Mountain). It is believed that this season will finally have an epic battle between the Hound and the zombi-fied Mountain.
  9. A Danny-Jon meeting?

SourceYes! The major characters are expected to meet for the first time this season. Fans have already spotted both the stars filming their first scene together. It is assumed that Danny would be quite shocked to meet her long-lost nephew.
  10. What will happen in the final episode?

SourceLet’s face it – somewhere we all know how the epic drama is going to end. Nevertheless, it is expected that season 7 is going to end on a cliffhanger as well. Bran will realize that Jon is the righteous ruler of Winterfell and is actually Lyanna Stark’s son. After confronting him, Danny will sail towards Westeros to capture the Iron Throne.

You no longer know nothing, my friend. Keep watching the re-runs and prepare yourself for the next seasons of this HBO juggernaut.
