Catfights and war of words are nothing new in Bollywood. Now they have become more open and nasty with Twitter, the powerful social media giving them a chance to vent frustration against one another in the most brutal way possible.

- Shahrukh Khan and Shirish Kunder
The tension between the two erupted when Shirish Kunder, husband of choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan attacked SRK by making fun of the RA.One and the actor himself. This happened as SRK turned down Shirish’s offer to do Tees Maar Khan. The war was followed by a number of stars taking SRK’s side.
- Ayesha Takia and Siddhartha Mallya
Ayesha Takia vented out her displeasure over the way Kingfisher Airlines mishandled her sister. She complained about the Airline’s poor customer service which Siddhartha Mallya, the Kingfisher heir couldn’t digest. Things cooled down when Vijay Mallya stepped in.
- Abhishek Bachchan and Prahlad Kakkar
Prahlad Kakkar made a statement at MAMI Film Festival that Junior B should retire from the film as he had given 17 flop films in a row. A visibly upset Abhishek took to twitter and said Kakkar is a comedian and is a failed ad-maker.
- Shobhaa De and Sonam Kapoor
This twitter war got famous when it became tabloid news. When Sonam’s I Hate Luv Storys was released, Shobhaa reviewed the movie negatively and named it I Hate Dumb Storys. Sonam naturally didn’t like her comment and called her an old fossil by re-tweeting a tweet by director Punit Malhotra. De, reiterated with calling the actress a spoilt brat and questioning her upbringing.
- Amitabh Bachchan and Rajeev Masand
When Akshay Kumar visited R.K Laxman for promoting his movie Khatta Meetha, he posted a picture of himself with the man himself on Twitter. Ace film critic tweeted that Akshay looked like a “jackass” in the picture. This comment was criticized by Big B who said that he never expected that kind of language from a critic. Rajeev re-tweeted by saying that no one expected rude behavior too during Abhishek- Aishwarya wedding.
- Anurag Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan
When Anurag Kashyap’s younger brother, Abhinay, who originally directed Dabangg, was replaced by Arbaaz Khan for directing Dabangg 2, Anurag tweeted ‘Salman Khan thinks he made my brother’s life. Hope he does the same for Arbaaz when he does Dabangg 2. All The Best’. Arbaaz criticized this tweet and later on Anurag posted an apology.
- Karan Johan and Ram Gopal Verma
When RGV said that Karan Johar’s “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” was the scariest film ever, Karan Johar re-tweeted by saying, ‘Early morning dreams come true? I dreamt I was watching Phoonk 2 and holding RGV’s hand in fear. Is this possible?’ RGV took a dig at Karan by saying that he is scared of Karan’s “hand holding part”.
- Kamaal R Khan and Sonakshi Sinha
Kamaal R Khan is one such “actor” (?) who loves to stay in the limelight by making horrible tweets. One such tweet of him was aimed at Sonakshi Sinha where he said, “Pls RT this if you think tat @SonakshiSinha has biggest butt in Bollywood.(sic)” While other stars ignore him generally, Sonakshi tweeted, “Please RT this if you think @kamaalrkhan is a woman disrespecting waste of space and deserves to be hung upside down and given 4 tight slaps. (sic),” KRK later deleted the tweet.
- Kapil Sharma and Kamaal R Khan
Kamaal R Khan was in the picture again for posting a screenshot of Kapil Sharma’s Twitter account and abused him on the pretext that Sharma had made some offensive tweets about Khan. KRK tweeted, “Ppl pls don’t mind his tweet coz he always become tiger after drinking. Nasha Utarne Ke Baad Fir Chuhaa Ban Jaata Hai” Kapil Sharma snapped back by saying, “Dont know who this KRK is. par bahut jaldi iska munh aur ghar tootne wala hai, can’t help. Punjabi blood :)”
- Ameesha Patel and Kushal Tandon
The war between the two started when Kushal tweeted about “a woman” who didn’t get up from her seat during the National Anthem. It was later revealed to be Ameesha Patel. Ameesha in reply called Kushal “A jackass” and said she since she was on her periods, she was uncomfortable standing up.
