The term “Indian English” has originated because we Indians do add a bit of our own culture to English. Just like the language we add a bit of “Indian-ism” to everything and in the process showing the attitude that we don’t care how things are done. Our demeanor is such that we need things done our way and we don’t really care how it will look, what others will think or what the consequences will be. Here are few examples of such cases, which prove that we Indians do not really care about how seriously we take our stuff:
- We don’t care how we frame our sentences
This sentence may be a mistake but not everyone would have decent thought after reading it.
- Don’t care what they really cut up
This is definitely more than cruel and parents will have to beware. However, a little bit of counseling from someone who knows English well would have surely helped a lot.
- About sharing persons
We all know what the owner of this really means. But sharing two persons on one plate does sound something that the sharks would really enjoy.
- About what we order
A little bit of spelling check here would have helped loads. Though, ordering a Child Beer would be very inappropriate.
- About what we name our brands
Makes you wonder who must be drinking this milk and why would someone name their brand this.
- About whom we learn our stuff from
Parents sending their children to this class should really worry about what they would actually be taught.
- About where our stuff is manufactured
This is surprising yet overwhelming to know that our national flag is manufactured in China. However, questionable the authenticity of this label is, it would be worrying if our flags are actually manufactured in China.
- About how we drive
Indian driving sense has always been not up to the mark. Driving on such a small vehicle carrying heavy stuff like this is risky and dangerous not only to oneself but also to those who are driving parallel to you.
- About what the rules say
Well, the rules are clearly visible and understandable. However, abiding by them doesn’t seem to be something that people here are interested in.
- About how we travel
This is a common sight here in India. Maybe overpopulation is the reason or lack of patience is. Whatever the reason is, this is just an accident waiting to happen.
