Meet Om Paithane From An OLA Cab Driver To Indian Army Officer Cadet. . .

After reading the story of Cadet Om Paithane who is currently training at OTA Chennai will get a new hope and strong willpower to acheive success in life.   Cadet Om Paithane will be commissioned following the OTA Chennai Passing Out Parade March 2018 as an Indian Army officer on 10.  

“My father was a driver who had lost both his legs in a road accident and was working as a watchman. While studying for final year BSc computer science I had to support the family but I got arrears. So I started to drive for Ola. My taxi was hired by a retired colonel, 1 day. We started to talk and he told me about the joint defence services evaluation and the endless opportunities it brings.”

 “I made the first call to the retired officer once I got through. I was being guided by him throughout. I remember me’s version. This life is better although I liked it. The training has taught me discipline and manners, which I am proud of,”

Paithane is. This year the cadets are a group, including a number of engineers, another who represented India in two and rugby Army widows, a woman fighter. The majority of them look at the training as an opportunity to prove to themselves the strength they have inside and to be an example for others.
